Fermi Paradox

The Fermi paradox is the apparent contradiction between high estimates of the probability of the existence of extraterrestrial civilizations and the lack of evidence for, or contact with, such civilizations.

What do you think?

If you have an opinion on why no evidence of extraterrestrial civilizations has been found so far please say so below.

I believe that either intelligent life is very very rare, or interstellar travel (even for self replicating factory ships) is very difficult and energy intensive.
I think that fact that an alien civilization hasn't colonised our solar system in the past makes some sort of physics break through that would allow for faster than light travel very unlikely.
