Welcome to "The Future", a wiki about the future and about things which will or may effect the future.
I've been trying for a while to track down the best website or mailing list for discussing all things relating to the future. It seems to me that the discussion is fairly fragmented and that the web is littered with the remains of stillborn, dead or dying lists, forums & wikis. I am trying to list any active sites that I find here, and I want to try and encourage the active members of any communities I do find to get together on a single forum to get the discussions humming. If you belong to an active forum along these lines please let me know so that I can join in and collaborate with you.
I believe that the Wikidot community and some of the sub-communities within it are examples of a new sort entity that is going to have a big influence on how the future turns out and how soon it arrives. I think Collaborations will be as important in the 21st Century as Corporations were in the 20th Century, and I think that Wikidot may already contain the seeds of collaborations that just may change the world.
